Building a Home

Your new home building experience has already started. After you finish your tour of our website and see what we have to offer (be sure to check out our “Letters of Recommendation” page), your next step is to meet with your SBH associate, who will, with your valued input, put your new home deal together. At your first meeting, you and your associate will analyze your wants and needs in your home floor plan, determine the best building site for you, and, get started on necessary financing arrangements. Once we have covered these starting points to your satisfaction, a small deposit is required to cover the costs of blueprints and specs. Then we help you with all the documentation required to go to your lender and get financing put in place. Once financing is arranged, we secure your building site and construction starts. The construction techniques and materials used by SBH’s are the most up to date in the building industry. Our homes and commercial structures meet or exceed the National Building Code, as required by all recognized lending authorities, and are C.S.A. approved. Whether your home is being stick built on site, or manufactured in our factory and shipped, you are welcome to drop by anytime to see how construction is proceeding. Your selections in floor covering, cabinetry, windows, paint and other personal touches will make this house your home. A five-year warranty is supplied on materials and workmanship, our assurance of quality. When your home is completed and ready for occupancy, you and your SBH associate will do a thorough walk-through to make sure everything is to your satisfaction.
